Frequently asked questions about MYOS:

  • Do I need special software on my computer to use MYOS?

    No. All you need is a Web browser and an Internet connection to be able to update your site.

    The MYOS administration area contains a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor that allows you to add content as you would in a word processing program (such as Microsoft Word), so it's very easy to make changes to your content.

  • Why does the demo look like this?

    This demo is intended to show how the back-end administration works with front-end design. ABC Widgets is an imaginary company, and your site would not be forced to match this site design.

    The great part about using MYOS is that it works with the design and functionality of your site.

  • Do I need to know HTML to use MYOS?

    No. MYOS was built for site administrators to have full control of the site without HTML or coding knowledge.

  • What if I want to use Flash on my site?

    No problem. We can incorporate Flash that is updatable by MYOS so you will not need to update Flash source files to make changes or updates.

  • What are blocks?

    Your site will have the ability to use blocks, which are repeatable content areas that can feature images, text or videos. With blocks, you can create content once and use it in various places within your site.

  • How do I add more templates?

    During the design and development process, all of your site's templates are designed, developed, and added to MYOS. We'll work with you to create flexible templates that accommodate all of your content needs.

    If additional templates are needed as your site and your company grows, we can add them at any time.

  • What are the server requirements I will need to run MYOS?

    MYOS requires a LAMP setup, which includes:

    Linux or Unix
    Apache hosting
    PHP 5.2+
    Mod Rewrite
    MySQL 4+
    PHP Extensions: GD2, php-xml
    Optional PHP Extensions: cURL (to view Google Analytics in the dashboard), mysqldump (to backup the database)

  • Does it work well with third-party apps?

    Absolutely. When developing MYOS we knew that some third-party applications already have functionality that is flexible and easy-to-use. MYOS is ties in well with most third-party applications including Wordpress™, Google™ Site Search, Yahoo!™ Search, and Google™ Analytics.

  • Does it support RSS?

    Yes. MYOS allows you to integrate existing RSS feeds with your site and create new ones.
